Taft-Hartley Plans

Defined Contribution retirement plan negotiated by Unions for the benefit of their members and Employer. FHT provides full services as the TPA – working with Union on contribution types and contribution formulas at negotiation, onboarding Employers, and providing customer service to Members from initial enrollment, payroll and plan questions, trading and ending with distributions.

  • Members have ONE retirement plan for those who work under multiple service contracts/employers
  • Fiduciary responsibility is Board of Trustees, not the adopting Employer nor the Union
  • Employers do not have a withdrawal liability, do not need to perform administration/compliance testing, and do not bear cost of Plan.
  • Union pride, consistency and continuity
